New! Reference images are available for this costume in the Media Section. Boba Fett was first seen in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (ESB) and for many Boba Fett fans the ESB version is the definitive one but for many costumers it is far more difficult to source accurate parts for and get the overall look right.
At first glance it may appear that the costumes worn in The Empire Strikes Back and The Return of the Jedi use almost all of the same components but in fact there are very few parts that can be used for both costumes! Many costumers elect to go for the A New Hope (Special Edition) version as this incorporates the very popular Return of the Jedi look but with the more detailed ESB helmet; it looks superb and is much easier to source and complete than the ESB version. Creating an accurate Boba Fett costume is a very difficult task as the costume has so many parts to it and all of them are extremely detailed - it takes a lot of time and money to put together a costume of this standard and is not for the feint hearted. This guide will detail each part of the ESB costume and will feature the most accurate parts I have been able to source for my own costume that's been in the making for the past three years. |
